GENERAL INFORMATION:

The Avalon School of Astrology was established in 2002 as a vocational astrology school licensed by the Florida Department of Education. It is located in Gainesville, FL (North Central Florida).

Avalon provides comprehensive training that prepares students for a career in the field of astrology.

With the education you receive at Avalon, you have the training you need not only to open an astrological counseling business, but also to work in wide variety of other positions.

ISAR
ISAR now accepts graduates of the Avalon School of Astrology Professional Certificate Program to take the ISAR Competency Exam as a qualfying portion of the ISAR CAP certification program.

Also, successful completion of the Counseling and Ethics seminars at Avalon also fulfills the counseling and ethics training requirements for certification by ISAR.

Our graduates receive a diploma in Theoretical and Applied Cosmic Cybernetics, and the training you receive will enable you to be an astrological counselor. If you already have a degree in psychology or are emlpoyed in a helping profession, learning the language of astrology can can expand and improve your practice.

Critical thinking skills
Computer skills, including ability to develop static web sites, and communicate clearly with computer programmers.
Academic training: Astronomy, spherical trigonometry, scientific method, and the history of astrology are some areas in which the graduate will have competency

HOURS OF OPERATION:

The administrative offices, library, and computer room are open from 9 AM to 4 PM daily, and during other hours when classes are in operation and there is a staff member or volunteer available to monitor the facilities.
